How to Submit a Nomination

If you know someone struggling to heat their home, you can make a difference right now. 

Nominations must be submitted on behalf of someone else, such as by friends, schools, churches, social workers, or community organizations.

To quality, the household must:

  • Live on Long Island
  • Use oil heat for their primary heating source
  • Be facing financial or personal hardship
  • Be ineligible for assistance programs, such as HEAP
  • Have at least one family member who is a U.S. citizen or qualified non-citizen
