Tragar Fueling Kindness Program

Terms and Conditions

The Tragar Fueling Kindness Program (the “Program”) is sponsored by Tragar Home Services (the “Sponsor”). The Program is designed to provide free home heating oil (up to 150 gallons) to selected individuals or families who demonstrate financial need and have made a positive impact within their communities.

Nomination Period

The nomination period begins at 12:00 AM Eastern Time on November 1, 2025, and ends at 11:59 PM Eastern Time on April 1, 2026 (the “Nomination Period”). The Sponsor reserves the right to extend the Nomination Period at its sole discretion.

Monthly Recipient Selection

Recipients will be selected on a monthly basis during the Nomination Period. Selections will occur on or around the first day of each month.

Nomination Process

During the Nomination Period, individuals (“Nominators”) may nominate eligible candidates (“Nominees”) by submitting the Nominee’s name, address, and a statement explaining why the Nominee deserves to receive free heating oil. All nominations must be submitted through the official nomination form available at fuelingkindness.org.

Eligibility Criteria

Nominees must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Residency: Must be a permanent legal resident of Long Island, New York.

  • Housing: Must own and reside in a single-family home or be a renter.

  • Heating Method: Must use heating oil and have a functional oil tank at the residence.

  • Availability: Must be available on the scheduled oil delivery date. In the event extraordinary circumstances prevent availability, an alternative date may be offered at the Sponsor’s sole discretion.

  • Age: Must be of legal age in New York State.

  • Employment Restrictions: Nominees may not be employees, officers, directors, or immediate family members of the Sponsor or its affiliates.

  • Property Access: Must allow Tragar Home Services or its representatives reasonable access to the property, if necessary, to confirm eligibility and suitability for oil delivery.

  • Community Impact: Must demonstrate meaningful and positive contributions to their community.

  • Financial Need: Must demonstrate genuine financial hardship and need for heating oil assistance.

Selection Process and Criteria

All eligible nominations will be reviewed by the Sponsor. Recipients will be selected based on, but not limited to, the following criteria:

  • Demonstrated financial need for heating oil assistance

  • Significant positive impact within the community

  • Degree of financial hardship

  • Number of nominations submitted by different, unrelated Nominators

Selection decisions are final and made at the Sponsor’s sole discretion.

Notification

Selected Recipients will be notified on or around the first of each month following selection.

Additional Terms

  • Recipients must be available to receive heating oil during the designated delivery period.

  • The heating oil provided has no cash value and may not be substituted or transferred.

  • Recipients are solely responsible for any applicable taxes associated with receiving free heating oil.

  • Nominators and Nominees agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

  • If selected, Nominees must sign a declaration of eligibility, liability release, and publicity release as a condition of receiving assistance.

Publicity Release and Use of Materials

By accepting participation in the Program, each selected Nominee (“Recipient”) grants Tragar Home Services and its affiliates, agents, and representatives the irrevocable right and permission to use the Recipient’s name, likeness, photograph, video, voice, written or recorded statements, and personal story (collectively, the “Materials”) in connection with the Fueling Kindness Program.

The Materials may be used for promotional, educational, and community-awareness purposes, including but not limited to:

  • Social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)

  • Website content (including blog posts, testimonials, and campaign updates)

  • Printed materials (such as flyers, brochures, and advertisements)

  • Press releases, news articles, and media coverage

The Recipient acknowledges that the Materials may be used without further notice, review, or approval, and without compensation of any kind. The Recipient releases and holds harmless Tragar Home Services from any claims arising from the use of the Materials as described herein. Participation in publicity is a condition of receiving assistance through the Program.

Privacy and Use of Personal Information

Tragar Home Services respects the privacy of all Nominators and Nominees. Personal information collected through the nomination process will be used solely for the purposes of administering the Fueling Kindness Program, verifying eligibility, coordinating oil delivery, and fulfilling related program communications.

Personal information will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. Information may be shared only with trusted service providers or partners as necessary to administer the Program or comply with legal requirements.

By participating in the Program, Nominators and Nominees consent to the collection and use of their information as described in this section.

Program Modifications

The  Fueling Kindness Program is subject to change at any time upon notice posted at fuelingkindness.org. Changes may include updates to eligibility requirements, nomination procedures, selection criteria, or other program details. Participants are encouraged to review the website regularly for the most current information.
